Pakistan team management has shortlisted 12 players for the first ODI against Australia, with the final playing eleven yet to be confirmed. Shadab Khan’s absence poses a challenge for finding a suitable replacement.
The selected 12 players for the match include Imam-ul-Haq, Fakhar Zaman, Babar Azam (captain), Mohammad Rizwan (wicket-keeper), Saud Shakeel, Iftikhar Ahmad, Khushdil Shah, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Hasan Ali, Haris Rauf, Usman Qadir, and Zahid Mehmood.
The decision on whether Usman Qadir or Zahid Mehmood will replace Shadab Khan, and the inclusion of Iftikhar Ahmad and Khushdil Shah, is yet to be finalized.
Pakistan is set to face Australia in the first limited-overs contest at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, tomorrow.
